I met with the President of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the U.S. National Committee for United Nations Women, Cathy Hillman. We are planning on doing a screening of the documentary once it is finished and having a panel of UN Women and other major advocates speak after the film. This event will be over the summer. Stay tuned for time and location!

We now have three wonderful volunteer interns helping me out with the documentary once a week. Excited to welcome our very first volunteer interns to the team: thank you Brianna, Natalie, and Alex!
Took a road trip to Sacramento to film this powerful event called Don't Be Pimped. Silent protesters of dedicated community members, parents, students, survivors, and advocates hit one of the streets in Sacramento where children are being sold. Bridget's Dream a local non-profit we work with in this documentary went from business to business around that area educating the owners on human trafficking and how they can play apart in ending it. Got the opportunity to incorporate in the documentary discussions of the historical causes and legal dynamics of exploitation, to the state and federal responses to trafficking. One of the lead speakers was Carissa Phelps who is a leader/survivor in this documentary was accompanied by her mentor as a child, Ron Jenkins.
